Finally.. 12 Apostles 與十二門徒的第一次相遇

重要的事情說3遍: 要預留2天時間去十二門徒石! 要預留2天時間去十二門徒石!! 要預留2天時間去十二門徒石!!!
Note (for self-driving tourists): plan a 2-day visit to the 12 Apostles if time allows!!

離開奧特威國家公園, L小姐和我當然是直奔往十二門徒石 (澳洲之旅的重點 + 人生必到景點).
After Great Otway National Park, we drove as fast as possible to get to The 12 Apostles – a bucket list destination.

把車停好之后, 我們就分秒必爭的跑過去, 爭取早點到達觀景台.
ms. L & i ran to the viewing point immediately after we parked our vehicle.

接下來, 女士們﹑先生們, 請看世界的自然遺產: 十二門徒石!
Ladies & gentlemen.. we present to you: THE 12 APOSTLES!

雖然只剩下7個門徒, 不過整個畫面還是非常的震撼!!! 讓人驚嘆大自然的鬼斧神工 ❤️❤️
Despite only 7 of them are left, it was still hard to find a word to precisely describe our feeling — Amazing, Stunning, Unbelievable… so we decided to let the video to tell you the view!

在這震撼人心的景色面前, L小姐和我實在是不願挪動腳步. 一直等到太陽落到海平面下, 才發現我們已經站了超過2小時.
In order to capture every moment of the Apostles in sunset, ms. L & i ended up staying in the National Park for > 2 hrs. The remarkable view of the 12 Apostles is definitely worth multiple hours of driving & waiting!

Port Campbell.. A Night Without Proper Dinner 坎貝爾港的簡單住宿

距離十二門徒石最近的住宿地點, 是只有10分鐘車程的坎貝爾港.
The nearest town to the 12 Apostles: Port Campbell (10 mins away)

雖然只是短短的10分鐘車程, 但關於坎貝爾港, 有兩點是需要注意的.
Note (despite only 10 mins away): 2 things to be noted.

• 沿路沒有照明 路上漆黑一片的 No streetlight at all from the Country Park → Port Campbell
• 坎貝爾港的餐廳營業時間 基本上只到晚上8點 Restaurants in Port Campbell almost all closes before 8 PM

大家可以想像得到, 我們在十二門徒石一直待到太陽下山, 再到達坎貝爾港, 就早已經過了8點. 所有的餐廳都已經關了.
With the 2 hrs spent at the 12 Apostles, all restaurants at Port Campbell were closed by the time we arrived.

在沒有辦法之下, 我們只好直接到Southern Ocean Motor Inn住宿.
Without other options, ms. L & i went straight to Southern Ocean Motor Inn for check-in.

結果, 是日晚餐: 水果 + 泡麵 😱 (提前在吉朗/大洋路初段預備糧水, 真的是很重要!)
Cup noodles & fruits were the only thing we had for dinner…
(strongly recommend to stock up – goodies & water, before heading to Great Ocean Rd…)

12 Apostles in the Morning 再次拜訪十二門徒

第二天早上, 早餐: Grassroots Deli Cafe (環境和食物真的很讚, 不過我們實在太餓, 連照片都忘了拍)

早餐過后, 我們又再一次的回到了十二門徒石的面前.
After the breakfast, ms. L & i headed back to the 12 Apostles again!

隨著好運氣在前一天用掉了一大半, 第二天的天空, 一直是烏雲密佈.. 十二門徒石看上去也相對平淡一些.
Under a cloudy sky, the 12 Apostles looked dimmer and not as mind-blowing as the previous day.

不過, 就算沒有閃閃發亮的大海映襯, 十二門徒石始終是那麼令人贊嘆!
But what’s after all, the 12 Apostles is still impressive and breathtaking as usual!

L小姐和我最終又停留了一小時, 一邊拍照, 一邊從不同角度欣賞十二門徒 📷
ms. L & i eventually spent another 1 hr to take tons of photos there.

Conclusion – Why at least Two Visits? 十二門徒石, 為何一次不夠?

最后, 總結一下, 為何之前再三強調, 需要預留兩天時間去十二門徒石呢?
Now, pretty sure we all know why the 12 Apostles should be visited twice… but just let us to summarize again from 3 perspectives:

• Weather [天氣] – weather along Great Ocean Rd often changes dramatically (i.e. 2 days can give you a 2nd chance)
  [大洋路的天氣變幻莫測.. 假如第一天的天氣不如理想, 多停留一天, 總算還會有第二次機會 ✌️]

• Front Light vs. Back Light [拍照順逆光] – AM visit: front light (better portrait) | PM visit: back light (good view, not as good portrait)
  [觀景台在十二門徒石的東面, 所以上午會是順光看(人像比較光亮), 而下午就會變成逆光(黃昏景色最美, 但人像較黑)]

• Crowd [擁擠程度] – most day tours arrive in the Country Park at noon (i.e. fewer tourists early in the morning)
  [大部分一天遊都要在中午以後才能到十二門徒石, 所以早上會比較佔到好位置哦~]
